The American authorities has extended its contract with the internet organization ICANN. Because of this the United States keep its grip on the management of the internet.

The new contract counts has to extend for a year, but the American ministry of Trade the straight the agreement four times in a row with each time a year. This would mean that the U.S. until 2011 its influence on the management of the internet keeps.

The American nun-profit organization ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) loves supervision on the system domain names and IP-numbers and is the de facto Ruler on the internet.

The profound relations between the United States and the ICANN is not onomstreden.
